Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make an appointment? How do I make one?

It’s preferable that you make an appointment before coming. We want to be able to spend quality time with you. If you are in acute pain or feel that you need an appointment urgently, do let us know when you call for an appointment.

Do I need a doctor’s referral before starting physio?

It’s not absolutely necessary as our physios are experienced. They are also trained to diagnose and treat. However, we have found that if the injury or medical condition is fairly serious, patients benefit from the combined efforts and care of doctor (GP or Specialist) and physiotherapist as we do not prescribe medication. During the assessment and treatment, if we feel that your condition would benefit from the care of a doctor as well, we would refer you to a specialist. If you are making an insurance claim for your treatment, you will need a doctor’s referral before starting physio.

I am ready to start physio! When do I start? Do I need to wait till the injury is less painful before starting physio?

We are gentle when your injury is acute or inflamed. The sooner you start physio when you injure yourself, the sooner your recovery. We know how to help you heal faster.

What do I need to bring for my first session?

Please bring your X-ray, MRI or any medical reports related to your condition. Also, you might prefer to come in loose, comfortable clothing or a change of clothing eg. T-shirt and shorts. We also have clean and comfortable clothing for your use, if you need.
